BookDecay.com & Toys for Tots

Book Decay 2

While a senior at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, Utica native Rocco Carzo created BookDecay.com to help students save money on textbooks. Now, in addition to helping college students, he wants to let their actions contribute to helping others in need during this holiday season. For the month of December, BookDecay.com will be donating $0.20 for every single review provided on their site and giving all of the proceeds to the Toys for Tots Foundation to help children who are less fortunate.

It’s simple: the more reviews students provide, the more money that is donated to the Toys for Tots Foundation and the more children in need are helped. Reviewing is simple, and it only takes about five minutes on the site. That brief moment of your life can honestly lead to a giving a child a holiday moment that he or she will remember forever. As students spend their time each day studying, writing papers, and preparing for presentations as the semester comes to a close, BookDecay.com hopes that students will take a few minutes out of their busy holiday schedule to do something good for a child in need.

BookDecay.com is considered by many the “RateMyProfessor.com for Textbooks” – students share with one another how, or if, their professor actually uses their textbooks so students don’t waste their money on them. After launching on Sept. 1, 2011, BookDecay.com currently offers access to over 100 schools from across the country. In addition to continuing to expand, the company’s goal is to improve it’s offerings to become the only necessary and informative destination on the Internet for textbooks; and eventually they will be creating a BookDecay.com scholarship fund.

For students who are looking to review their textbooks and donate to the Toys for Tots Foundation, please visit www.BookDecay.com. You can also contact Rocco Carzo by emailing him - rocco@BookDecay.com or calling 315.796.4555.
