Joe Cart : Caroling Edition took place yesterday evening. The Joe Cart is a project by John Ossowski, a West Utica Community Advocate who believes that through little events like this, the community can come together for the good of the future. John bikes around on his custom made Joe Cart (which is made out of recycled materials), and serves coffee donated by Utica Coffee Roasters. Volunteers like Mark Ziobro from the Utica Phoenix were on hand to help serve Hot Chocolate and Cookies to the people of West Utica. John said “All I need is about 6 volunteers to make this project successful”, and he did just that. The Joe Cart caroled down Cleveland Avenue, then to some local shops around the corner. Kids from Kernan Elementary rushed to the cart to see what all of the fuss was about. They left with with cups filled with Hot Chocolate and holiday cheer. The Joe Cart stopped at the ever popular Tramontane Cafe, and then an even longer stop at the Polish Community Center where they were participating in BINGO. The singing was pretty good too! All of the people that experienced the Joe Cart gave positive feedback, and you could see it in the smiles they displayed. The Joe Cart was sponsored by Utica Coffee Roasting Company, Razzle Dazzle Costume Company, and Jewel of Denile. For more photos of the event, please visit TheKDCF.com Facebook Page.

It was a great time! Thanks John, for organizing the fun community event. And it’s not every guy that can pull off a fine looking Rudolph!
